Ukrainian paratroopers showed footage of the first hours after the beginning of the offensive operation in Kursk region of the Russian Federation. The operation began on August 6.

‘The first hours of the Defence Forces offensive operation in Kursk region of the Russian Federation August 6, 2024. A day that will go down in the history of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Thorough preparation, planning, surprise, fighting spirit and information silence became determinant at the initial stage of the operation,’ the paratroopers noted.
The command of the Airborne Assault Troops reports that in the first hours of the operation, the Ukrainian military were conducting mine clearance, breaking the border, and destroying enemy defences. Aviation and artillery were also working. In addition, the first captive Russian soldiers have already appeared in the first hours.
‘Now everything depends on the resilience of the Ukrainian soldier of all branches of the troops involved in the operation,’ the Airborne Assault Troops added.
