Breakthrough In Kursk Region: Why Russia Missed Operation Start

The Russian command was given the “correct legend”.

Russia “missed” the Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region because it was given the correct legend. This was stated on air by a serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on condition of anonymity.

According to him, the high level of organization and secrecy of the Ukrainian forces also played a role. In addition, the situation in the information field, even among the military, and the self-confidence of the Russians were an important factor. Thus, the command of the Russian Armed Forces did not think that the Ukrainians would be able to afford this.

“The movement of troops for the Armed Forces is a standard procedure. The exit for restoration, the restoration process, and again the exit to the front line. Therefore, they did not believe that we could afford this,” he said.

The serviceman also stated that most of the Russian forces that were met by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region were conscripts. In Sudzha itself, there were already more trained troops. These are tank crews, contract soldiers, border troops, FSB units, a motorized rifle unit.

“And so we spent several days pushing them out of the city, pushing them out until they partially surrendered, and the rest were destroyed,” the serviceman said.

According to the serviceman, this is his first trip to Russia.

“We have a better atmosphere somehow. Starting with the fact that these are really swamps. Solid swamps,” the Ukrainian serviceman noted.
