'Lukashenka Will Lose Mazyr Oil Refinery First'

The dictator is taking a risk by playing along with Putin.

The Belarusian troops do not pose a real threat to Ukraine, and their movement is part of the Belarusian dictator's political game. This was stated by military expert, retired colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan during a chat on Glavred.

"As soon as something flies in our direction from Belarus, Lukashenka will immediately lose the Mazyr Oil Refinery, which is located 50 km from the border, it will be burned immediately, and this will cut off oil transit to Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. Lukashenka understands what all this threatens him with," the military expert noted.

According to him, the movement of Belarusian troops to the border has two main goals: psychological pressure on Ukraine, "concealing" his troops from Putin. Lukashenka is trying to create the impression of a threat in order to force the Ukrainian leadership to keep troops near the border with Belarus. This allows him to play for Putin, distracting Ukrainian forces from other important areas.

"He plays along with Putin. Secondly, Lukashenka hides his troops from Putin so that he does not take them and throw them into the furnace of the eastern and northern fronts. This is a kind of Brownian movement, chaotic, back and forth, but without any real actions," Svitan added.
