Possible Cauldron: Ukraine Cuts 700 Russian Paratroopers From Supplies

The third bridge in the Kursk region has been destroyed.

The Ukrainian forces have probably destroyed the third and final bridge across the Seim River in the village of Karyzh in the Kursk region, thus cutting off Russian troops from supply routes in the Glushkovsky district, the Russian Telegram channel Astra reported with reference to Z-milbloggers on Monday, August 19.

It is noted that residents of the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region were evacuated by boat on August 18.

If the blowing up of the last bridge across the Seim is confirmed, then the units of the Russian army located to the south will find themselves in a "cauldron", and the estimated encirclement area will be almost 700 square kilometers, writes Censor.net.

On August 16, the Ukrainian forces blew up the largest bridge on this section of the front – in the village of Glushkovo. The next day, a bridge was blown up a little further north, in Zvannoye. On August 18, this was confirmed by the Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk.

Ukrainian military observer Vasyl Pekhnyo said on Radio NV that after the bridges were blown up, 700-800 Russian paratroopers could be left surrounded by the AFU.
