Regime Department Head Of Orsha Prison Died Unexpectedly

Aliaksandr Radkevich, the head of the Regime Department of prison #8 in Orsha, died at the age of 41, writes Nasha Niva. According to the publication, he spent his entire career in the system of the Department of Execution of Punishments (DEP).

“At first, he was the head of a detachment in prison #8. After that, he transferred to the DEP office for the Vitebsk region, where he worked as a senior operative of the Operational and Regime Work Department. Eventually, he returned to prison #8 — as the head of the Regime Department,” the publication reported.

The Regime Department determines what prisoners are “allowed” and what they are “not allowed to do. It decides whether it is possible to give people letters or to let certain books through. It draws up reports for fake and real violations.
