The Minister of Finance of Belarus Yuri Seliverstau said that the deficit of the republican budget in 2025 is planned at 4.5 billion rubles.

This is the sixth year in a row that officials have been drawing up the state budget with a "hole".

"According to our estimates, in 2025 we will receive revenues of about 45.5 billion rubles, expenses will be about 50 billion rubles. The budget deficit is projected to be about 4.5 billion rubles, or 1.6% of GDP. Unfortunately, we were not able to plan all expenses without a deficit, we will have to borrow on the domestic market, work to attract resources from outside. This is our standard practice," said Yuri Seliverstau.
