AFU May Take Control Of Kursk NPP: General Reveals Unexpected Scenario

Former head of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service, Army General Mykola Malomuzh said that the AFU will not seize the Kursk nuclear power plant because it would lead to a serious confrontation with international partners.

‘At the same time, if the advance of Ukrainian forces is successful, we can simply create a zone of remote control over the Kursk NPP, when the enemy will be forced to shut it down, although the personnel will remain. And then it will be possible to conduct certain negotiations to create a security zone in the energy sector of Ukraine or to transfer ZNPP under our control,’ he explained in an interview with Obozrevatel.

The expert explained that in this way, the Kursk nuclear power plant may not be seized, but it is possible to cover the adjacent territories, and then it is possible to bargain further. But as of today, the conditions have not yet developed for us to take Kursk NPP from the flanks or remotely encircle it.
