Ammunition has been detonating for several hours in the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation after a night attack, but Russian authorities say that “the situation is under control”.

“The detonation continues, so I once again ask you to remain calm, be extremely careful and comply with all security requirements. The situation is under control, the necessary forces and means have been deployed,” wrote head of the Ostrogozhsk district Sergei Khoroshilov.

Before this, the governor of the region, Alexander Gusev, traditionally stated that Russian air defense destroyed several UAVs over the territory of the region.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hinted that the effective strike could have been carried out by a Palianytsia drone missile. The Ukrainian Armed Forces used this weapon for the first time.
