Ukrainian MFA: All Troop Gatherings, Facilities, Supply Routes In Belarus Will Become Legitimate Targets For AFU

Ukraine reacted sharply to the concentration of Lukashenka's troops near its border.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, Belarus deployed its army and the Wagnerites near the border with Ukraine. In turn, Kyiv demands that Minsk withdraw its troops.

This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on Telegram.

In particular, the intelligence of Ukraine has data that the Armed Forces of Belarus, under the guise of exercises, concentrate personnel, weapons, tanks, artillery, MLRS and air defence in the Homel region near the northern borders of Ukraine. In addition, mercenaries of the former Wagner PMC were spotted there.

The Foreign Ministry noted that the exercises near the border and the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant pose threats to the national security of Ukraine and world security in general.

"We call on Belarusian officials not to make tragic mistakes for their own country under pressure from Moscow, and its armed forces to stop unfriendly actions and withdraw troops from the state border of Ukraine to a distance that exceeds the range of destruction of existing fire systems on the Republic of Belarus," the report reads.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that Ukraine has never done and is not going to do any unfriendly actions against the Belarusian people.

However, in case of violation of the border, the Ukrainian state will take all measures for self-defense.

"We warn that in case of violation of the border, Ukraine will use all necessary measures for self-defence, and all concentrations of troops, facilities and supply routes in Belarus will become legitimate targets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the ministry concluded.
