Ukrainian Military Reports On Situation At Border With Belarus

Against the background of the statement of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
The situation at the border with Belarus as of 26 August remains unchanged and controlled, no redeployment of military forces and hardware has been recorded, the speaker of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko told ‘Ukrainska Pravda’ on the air of the national TV marathon on Monday.
‘In general, the situation along the border is not changing. The Ukrainian defence forces of various components, which are both border guards, the Armed Forces and the National Guard are fully controlling the border line. There have been no unusual situations directly along our state border,’ he said.
According to him, the intelligence units are actively monitoring what is happening deep inside the territory of Belarus in order to understand how much the situation may change, to be ready in one direction or another, if some actions start from the territory of Belarus.
‘However, I can say that we have not noticed or observed any movement of hardware or personnel in the immediate vicinity of our border,’ said Demchenko.
The officer also noted that as of 26 August, Russia does not have a sufficient grouping on the territory of Belarus, which it could use for a new attack on Ukraine from this direction.
In the evening of September 25, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported that a significant number of personnel and hardware of the Belarusian Armed Forces had been concentrated near the border with Ukraine under the guise of exercises, as well as the presence of former ‘Wagner’ fighters there, and urged not to make tragic mistakes under Moscow's pressure.
