An explosion has occurred at a plant in Omsk.

A powerful explosion has occurred at the Omsk Oil Refinery. Local residents report that a loud bang was heard in several areas of the city. Video and photos of the fire are published by the Telegram channel ASTRA.

A fire started at one of the refinery units as a result of the explosion. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the area of the fire is 1,000 square meters.

The refinery representatives stated that the process equipment was on fire. At the same time, the press service of the enterprise assures that the plant continues to operate normally.

The Omsk Oil Refinery is one of the largest oil refineries in Russia.
