Russia Hits Kyiv Hydroelectric Power Station Dam With Missiles

Is there a risk of a breakthrough?

Russian occupation forces have struck the Kyiv hydroelectric power station dam, located near the city of Vyshgorod, during a massive missile attack on Ukraine. The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defence Council, Andriy Kovalenko, spoke about whether there is a risk of a breakthrough of the Kyiv hydroelectric power station dam in his Telegram channel.

According to him, there is no threat of a breakthrough of the Kyiv dam after the Russian shelling.

“It is impossible to destroy it with missiles. It is not worth comparing with the Kherson region - there was an explosion from the inside,” he noted.

Kovalenko emphasized that the goal of the Russians is to use this topic for informational purposes to stir up panic inside Ukraine.

It is worth noting that according to the chairman of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, as a result of the Russian missile and drone strike on August 26, 2 energy facilities in the region were damaged.
