Law-Enforcers Detain Resident Of Kobryn For Participating In Protests

8 years ago, he performed on a show in front of Volodymyr Zelensky.

A resident of Kobryn was detained on suspicion of participating in the 2020 protests. His “repentant” video was published by a Telegram channel close to the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption (GUBOPiK).

The Belarusian was forced to say on camera that four years ago he “took part in unauthorized protests in Kobryn, including on the roadway.”

Mediazona found the detainee’s page on social media. The Belarusian man’s name is Ivan Litvin. In 2016, he won 20 thousand hryvnia (about $764 at the average exchange rate at the time) on the show “Make the Comedian Laugh.”

One of the members of the jury of the show was Volodymyr Zelensky, before his election as president of Ukraine. Ivan performed in front of him in 2016.
