Telegram founder Pavel Durov will remain in custody for another 48 hours as part of a cybercrime investigation, a Paris prosecutor said on Tuesday.
Reuters notes that a decision to extend his detention was made on Monday evening.
Thus, Durov will remain in custody until Wednesday, August 28. After that, French law enforcement agencies must either release him or bring charges against him.
