Tanks On Fire: Drones Attack Oil Depot In Rostov Region Of Russia

A large-scale fire is raging.

On the night from August 27 to 28, an oil depot near the village of Molodezhny in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky district of Rostov region of the Russian Federation was attacked. This was reported by the local Russian telegram channel of ‘This is Rostov News’.

‘Presumably, an oil depot in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky district is on fire after a loud explosion heard in Rostov region,’ the report reads.

According to information from social media, several fuel tanks caught fire on the territory of the oil depot, causing a large fire.

According to subscribers of the Russian telegram channel of Mash, the explosions occurred at around 3am.

At the same time, the governor of Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, said at 3:23am that four drones had been shot down in the region.

‘Around 03:00 at night, four UAVs were shot down in Rostov region. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties. The information is being clarified,’ Golubev wrote.

Later, local publicks reported that the tanks of the Atlas combine were burning.

‘This is not the first attack, earlier on August 3, the AFU drones had already flown in there,’ the report said.

According to Russian publication Baza, the oil depot itself is located near the village of Molodezhny.

Locals report that two fuel tanks are currently burning. In addition, it was also loud near the local Morozovsk airfield.
