AFU General Staff Confirms Hitting Two Important Targets On Russian Territory

Drones have ‘visited’ Rostov and Kirov regions.

The General Staff of the AFU confirmed the information about hitting another strategic object on the territory of the Russian Federation.

‘On the night of August 28, a strike was made on the Atlas oil depot in Rostov region of the Russian Federation. As a result of the strike there occurred a fire in the territory of vertical tanks of the facility. It is known about the involvement of fire trains to eliminate the consequences of the fire,’ the General Staff reported.

It also added that the task was performed by units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine in cooperation with other components of the Defence Forces.

In addition, the Ukrainian defenders hit the Zenit oil depot in Kirov region and the field artillery depot of the Zapad Russian forces in Voronezh region of the Russian Federation.

‘Detailed information about the consequences of the strikes is still being clarified. The defence forces continue to take all measures to undermine the military and economic potential of the Russian occupiers and stop Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine,’ the General Staff added.
