Israel Announces Liquidation Of ‘Islamic Jihad’ Commander

During an anti-terrorist operation in the West Bank.

The Israeli forces eliminated several militants during an anti-terrorist operation in the West Bank near a mosque in the town of Tulkarm. Muhammad Jabber, known as Abu Shujaa, a commander of the Islamic Jihad organisation, was among those killed.

This was reported by the Israel Defence Forces (IDF).

A statement from the Israeli side indicates that during the first day of the joint anti-terrorist operation of the IDF, ISA and Border Police in Jenin and Tulkarm, ‘12 terrorists were eliminated, more than 10 wanted suspects were detained, and dozens of explosive devices were dismantled.’

Specifically, five Islamists ‘hid in a mosque’ in Tulkarm and were eliminated.

‘The eliminated terrorists included Muhammad Jabber, ‘Abu Shujaa,‘ the head of the terrorist network in Nur Shams, who was involved in numerous terrorist attacks,’ the IDF said.

It also noted that Israeli security forces dismantled dozens of explosive devices, detained terror suspects and seized weapons, including M-16 machine guns, ammunition and additional military equipment.

During the anti-terrorism operations, one IDF soldier sustained moderate injuries and was evacuated and hospitalised.

The Israel Defence Forces also released video and photos of the anti-terrorist operation.
