SSU Takes On ‘Big Integrator’ From Putin's Inner Circle
Sergei Kiriyenko

A notice of suspicion has been announced.

Sergei Kiriyenko, the first deputy head of the presidential administration of the Russian Federation, who has been Putin's confidant for many years and is part of his inner circle, has been announced a notice of suspicion.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine, after the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the head of the Kremlin appointed Kiriyenko as the “curator” of the temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.

“Since May 2022, it is Kiriyenko who has been overseeing absolutely all areas of forced integration of the temporarily captured territories of Ukraine into the “legislative field” of Russia,” the SSU notes.

He took direct part in organizing pseudo-referendums of the aggressor country and was responsible for the results of the “vote”. Kiriyenko also coordinates the activities of the occupation administrations of the aggressor country, in particular in “personnel” issues.

“And in the autumn of 2023, he personally handed over to Gauleiters Pasechnik, Saldo and Pushilin “documents” for their appointment as heads of local occupation bodies of Russia,” the SSU reports.

Kiriyenko is also authorized to coordinate the Kremlin's media resources, which impose the ideology of racism on the temporarily occupied part of the territory of Ukraine.

Security Service investigators informed Kiriyenko of an in absentia suspicion under four articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In particular, for aiding in waging an aggressive war; for public calls for deliberate actions with the aim of changing the borders of the territory of Ukraine; for justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which began in 2014, as well as denying the temporary occupation of part of the territory of Ukraine and glorifying the persons who carried out the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine; crossing the state border of Ukraine with the aim of causing harm to the interests of the state outside checkpoints.
