Another 'Breakthrough' Of Russian Border: Current Details

"Restless" is already in the Belgorod region.

After a massive shelling of the city of Sudzha in the Kursk region, they complain about attempts to break through of the Ukrainian forces. Unlike previous raids, which were organized by Russian volunteers, the Russian authorities were the first to report the events. Like, there are battles in several directions and "restless" already in the Belgorod region.

RBC-Ukraine collected more details about this and what is happening in the Kursk and Belgorod regions in the article.

What preceded this?

Before the network began to spread reports of Russians breaking through the border, local authorities early in the morning announced heavy shelling of the border town of Sudzha located near the Sumy region. Acting Governor of the Kursk region Alexey Smirnov writes about the alleged five wounded and several residential buildings that are "severely damaged". At the same time, due to the missile danger, public transport has become in Kursk itself.

The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, in turn, reported on the so-called "shooting down" of 13 drones over the territory of the Kursk region and 9 over the Belgorod region.

However, everything is not so “calm” in the local Telegram channels. Eyewitnesses complain of numerous destructions in Sudzha and distribute footage on the social media.

What is known about the possible breakthrough of the border in the Kursk and Belgorod regions

After a loud night in the morning, Russian publics began to write en masse about the alleged "breakthrough of the AFU" of the border with Russia in the Kursk region. One of the propaganda resources even named the directions in which the attacks take place. Like, we are talking about Nikolaevo-Daryino - Daryino and Automobile checkpoint Sudzha-Gogolevka. Russian milbloggers claim that the fighting is taking place "on several sections of the state border."

The Russian Telegram channel Mash has already fantasized about the "Ukrainian sabotage group", which allegedly "consisting of about 100 people with heavy weapons at about 9 am tried to enter the territory of the Russian Federation" in the Sudzha district. There was also an attempt to enter Korenevsky district. Propagandists say that “a breakthrough was stopped.”

Meanwhile, there was a reaction from local authorities. The acting governor of the Kursk region claims that Russian border guards do not allow "Ukrainian troops to make a breakthrough."

"Today, information is received from the Sudzhansky and Korenovsky districts about AFU's attempts to breakthrough to the territory of the Kursk region. Fighters of the Border Guard Service of the FSB of Russia and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation did not allow the border to break through," Smirnov writes.

He also appealed to the Russians with a warning that allegedly "in the near future there will be many different information stuffing", he called "not to succumb to the actions of provocateurs."

At the same time, Russian military correspondents say that, they say, "the Armed Forces of Ukraine are heading towards Goncharovka, Sudzha district" on heavy vehicles. In addition, subsequently, Rospabliki began to write about attempts to break through the border in the Belgorod region. But there are no details on this yet.

What do they say in Ukraine?

There was no confirmation from Ukraine that the fighting was taking place in the border areas of the Kursk region. Representatives of the Ukrainian Defence Forces have not yet commented on the situation.

Recall that in the Belgorod and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation, fighting sometimes occurs in the border area. Usually, they take place with the participation of volunteer detachments consisting of Russians fighting on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

So, on March 12 of this year, the Freedom of Russia Legion, the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Siberian Battalion broke through the border of the Russian Federation. Then they entered the border areas of the Kursk and Belgorod regions, forming a "gray zone". The fighting continued for a while. However, the rebels promised that such operations would continue.
