Hezbollah Strikes Northern Israel With Drones

There are casualties.

The Iranian-backed Hezbollah group announced the launch of a group of attack drones against northern Israel. This was reported on August 6 by the Times of Israel.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack, which injured two people in the Arab city of Mazra'a in northern Israel.

According to Reuters, citing a source in the group, this attack was not the group's revenge for Israel's killing of Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukra in Beirut last week. Hezbollah's leadership has vowed to avenge him, raising fears of a serious escalation that could escalate into a full-scale war.

Medical workers Magen Centar, David Adom Roy Vishna and Noam Levy, said that in Mazra'a, as a result of the fall of a Hezbollah drone, a man received serious head injuries.

“We saw a man sitting in a car, unconscious and with a severe head injury from shrapnel. Another injured woman was near the parking lot, fully conscious and with shrapnel wounds to her limbs,” they said.

Doctors say they managed to resuscitate the man at the scene. And he was taken to the hospital in “very serious condition.” A woman who received moderate injuries in the same incident was also hospitalized.
