On Monday, there was a fire at the "Nioman" branch of the "Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant" in Lida. Rescuers were called to the scene by an employee of the enterprise.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the paint booth caught fire at the enterprise. The employee tried to put out the fire with fire extinguishers, but could not cope with it. EMERCOM workers extinguished the fire.

"The fire damaged the paint coating of the paint booth and the exhaust system. The cause of the fire is being established. The alleged cause of the accident is the violation of technological regulations," stated the report.

The Lida-based company of the MWTP is mainly engaged in the production of buses.
