Media: Russia Already Lost 11 Settlements In Kursk Region

The Russian military fears the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces elite.

Armed units have already captured 11 settlements in the Kursk region and have overcome 15 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. This has caused a “commotion” in the Russian Federation, and the Russian military is at a loss in their forecasts, reports Focus.

As reported in the Telegram channel “Two Majors”, Russian aviation and UAVs were operating in the Kursk region all night.

“The enemy is deploying logistics in the controlled territories, delivering fuel and lubricants and ammunition. Judging by open sources, the enemy's regular troops are present at a depth of up to 15 kilometers. The width of the front is 10-11 kilometers. The Ukrainian Armed Forces were present as of the evening in Lyubimovka, Obukhovka, Pokrovskoe, Zeleny Shlyakh, Tolstoy Lug, Nizhny Klin, Tolstoy Lug, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Darino, Sverdlikovo, Lebedevka. A total of 11 settlements,” the report says.

It is noted that the Russian army sent infantry and heavy equipment to stop the breakthrough. Measures are being taken to evacuate the local population.

Another war correspondent, Yuriy Podolyaka, reports that in the morning unknown units continued to develop their offensive to the north along the Sudzha-Korenevo highway. There is no movement towards Sudzha yet.

“The enemy managed to take control of several more settlements. The total advance in just over a day was approximately 15 kilometers. At the same time, the enemy continues to introduce more and more battalions into the breakthrough. The 22nd mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has already completely entered our territory. According to my sources from Sumy, to the north and east of the city everything is literally teeming with military personnel. Moreover, there are a lot of light pickups and wheeled armored vehicles. My sources also report that, according to the soldiers' conversations, they are being prepared for some kind of quick breakthrough,” Podolyaka reported.

He noted that there is a similar situation in the Lebedin area, and the 72nd, 80th, and 82nd brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are “at a low” start.

“For those who don't know, this is the super-elite. They, following the 22nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, which apparently has the task of breaking through our defense and securing the flanks of this breakthrough, will probably also be introduced into the breakthrough today or tomorrow,” Podolyaka informed.

Meanwhile, another Russian war correspondent, Yuri Kotenok, in addition to describing the general situation in the Kursk region, scolded the Kadyrovites. He called them “TikTok troops” and accused them of cowardice, since they kicked in when the escalation had just begun.

“Everything will depend on the fortitude and tenacity of our troops, logistics, and the firepower of the Russian Armed Forces in a specific area. In fact, just like two years ago, in the Kursk area the border is held by border guards, and there are also territorial units (the units of the territorial defense) from locals covering the border. During the entire day of combat operations, I did not come across any mention of “TikTok troops”. A week ago, “Akhmat” in Suzhna performed the lezginka, shooting into the air. I personally do not know where these people are now,” Kotenok wrote.

He added that the next day or two will show how serious the enemy's intentions are in this area, whether they will be able to build on their success, “or will they try to bite off something else” and move forward.

“The situation is difficult,” Kotenok stated.

It is worth noting that the military leadership of Ukraine does not officially comment on the information about the operation being carried out in the Kursk region.-
