Drones Attack Lipetsk: Military Airfield Burning, Exploding

A massive strike was carried out.

On the night of August 8-9, the Russian town of Lipetsk was subjected to a massive drone attack, resulting in light blackouts in the town. This was reported by the Governor of Lipetsk region Igor Artamonov.

"There was a detonation of explosive objects away from civilian buildings. All emergency services are working at the scene. As a result of the fall of the UAV, an energy infrastructure facility was damaged. There are violations of power supply," Artamonov wrote.

He also urged Lipetsk residents not to give in to panic and calls to leave the town.

At the same time, residents of the region publish videos of the fly-ins and write that the military airfield is on fire, Ukrainian media wrote.

Later Artamonov said that as a result of the attack in Lipetsk there is no power supply in five micro-districts.

The Astra telegram channel noted that according to preliminary information, an ammunition depot detonated at the military airfield in Lipetsk.

The Ukrainian side has not yet commented on the information about the attack on Lipetsk.
