Russian authorities are launching the repression machine in Kursk region, where fighting with invading Ukrainian troops continues for the fourth day.

According to Mash, on Friday the Federal Security Service (FSB) detained a 48-year-old resident of the village of Oktyabrskoye who was filming the aftermath of Ukrainian strikes.

According to the special services, the video captured by the local resident was published on one of the Ukrainian telegram channels. During interrogation, the detainee said that he allegedly acted on an assignment, and he was promised money and "citizenship of one of the NATO countries" for its fulfilment.

According to Mash, a criminal case is being initiated under the article "espionage", which provides for punishment of up to life imprisonment.
