Belarus Bans Talking About Lukashenka's Age

Is the aging dictator embarrassed by his age?

On August 30, Lukashenko, who has ruled Belarus for three decades and, contrary to public sentiment, does not want to leave power, turned 70. However, the ruler's press service and state media hide this fact, writes Salidarnasс.

The report that Putin awarded his colleague the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called did not mention that Aliaksandr Lukashenka had a birthday on Friday.

After that, the ruler's press service issued a strange message that he "held several international phone conversations." Only at the very end can we learn that autocrats from the post-Soviet countries congratulated Lukashenka on his birthday.

The news on the Belarus 1 TV channel reported on today's events in the ruler's life with exactly the same strangely worded message. That is, there is no information at all about Lukashenka turning 70.

There is not even information that the ruler was congratulated on his birthday on the ONT TV channel website.

Apparently, the propagandists were given the order not to talk about the ruler's age.
