Palina Sharenda-Panasyuk Placed In Punishment Cell
PALINA SHARENDA-PANASYUK

The relatives of the political prisoner are sounding the alarm.

The activist of the European Belarus civil campaign, political prisoner Palina Sharenda-Panasyuk was sent to solitary confinement in the Homel pretrial detention center. Her husband Andrei Sharenda reported this to the Charter97.org website:

“Today it became known that on September 9, the so-called investigative actions against Palina, which lasted a whole week, ended. The criminal case has been fully completed, Palina was finally charged under Article 411, Part 1 for disobeying the administration of the colony. On the same day, September 9, Palina was familiarized with the case materials, which means that it will soon be transferred to the prosecutor's office, and then to the Rechitsa city court, where she will be tried in the next few months.

Palina has already been transferred from the Rechytsa temporary detention facility back to the Homel pretrial detention center. This is another very difficult stage for her, a serious physical and psychological test. Immediately upon arrival at the pretrial detention center, Palina was placed in a punishment cell for 10 days, this is another mockery, given her health condition. With chronic pancreatitis, she must adhere to at least some diet, she needs appropriate nutrition. It is clear that there are no such conditions in the punishment cell, you can’t take your own food there, and the already meager prison rations are greatly reduced.

All this makes us very concerned about her health. We are ringing all the alarm bells, Palina must be saved by any means necessary.
