AFU General Staff Confirms Destruction Of Another Russian Plane

There is a possibility that it is about Su-30SM over the Black Sea.

According to the AFU General Staff, as of the morning of September 12, the Russians lost one plane over the past day.

Thus, the Ukrainian defenders have already destroyed 369 aircraft of the Russian Federation since February 22, 2022.

The AFU General Staff has not yet specified under what circumstances and what kind of aircraft was destroyed. There is a possibility that it is about Su-30SM.

The Russian fighter jet took off from the Saki airfield and disappeared from radar over the Black Sea on the night of September 11.

Before disappearing, the fighter was allegedly launching Kh-31P missiles and managed to fire four missiles out of six.

The search operation involved Mi-8 and Ka-27 helicopters, as well as An-26 plane - they flew from the airfield of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Kacha.

It is also claimed that an oil slick about 3km in diameter was found 80km northwest of Cape Tarkhankut, as well as wreckage of the aircraft, including part of the wing.

‘There were two Russian pilots with the rank of captain on board the Su-30SM that disappeared over the sea: pilot E. Stepanishin and navigator D. Fomin from the 43rd Separate Marine Attack Aviation Regiment (m/u 59882, Saki), 1 aviation squadron,’ the Crimean Wind monitoring channel reported.

According to unconfirmed information, the enemy aircraft was shot down from a Ukrainian boat.
