Russia Starts Moving More Experienced Units To Kursk Region

American analysts have looked into the situation.

Russian authorities have deployed additional units of the 106th Airborne Division in Kursk region. The Russian Federation may begin redeploying more experienced forces to support its current counterattacks and upcoming counteroffensive operations against Ukrainian forces in Russia.

This was reported by the US-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

The footage released on September 11 shows units of Russia's 137th Airborne Regiment (106th Airborne Division) participating in an assault northwest of Snagost.

ISW recorded a report that units of the 137th VDV Regiment were operating in the Seversk direction in Ukraine as of late August.

Units of the 51st Airborne Regiment of the 106th Airborne Division are also operating in Kursk Region.

Russian authorities will need additional manpower and more experienced units to push Ukrainian forces completely out of Kursk region, ISW noted.

Russian authorities may concentrate additional units of the 106th Airborne Division and other more experienced combat formations in Kursk Region.
