Vance Names Three Points Of Trump's ‘Peace Plan’

The candidate for US vice president voiced his vision of the causes of the war.

The leader of the Republican Party, Donald Trump, will “sit” Russians, Ukrainians, and Europeans in front of himself and explain to them the details of the “peace plan”. This plan should allegedly guarantee Russia's security from NATO, since Ukraine will promise not to join this organization. Republican Senator James David Vance spoke about the exchange of occupied territories and the lack of protection for “peace with Russia” on the Shawn Ryan Show Podcast.

Vance briefly described how he sees the reasons for the war that Russia is waging in Ukraine. He stated that the reason is allegedly the natural gas deposits in the Crimea and other resources of Ukraine (agriculture, minerals), and it is for these that the Kremlin is fighting. In addition, the politician is sure that the fighting continues solely because the US and European arms manufacturers are making money on it. Donald Trump sees this and offers to end the war in three simple steps.Vance explained the policy of his patron, who chose him as a potential vice president.

“The Crimea is located on a very large natural gas field. Many wars are fought over natural resources, and I guarantee you that the Russians are partly interested, the Europeans are partly interested, and of course many American investors are. It has a lot to do with money, let's just be honest,” the Republican representative said.

What are the points of Trump's “peace plan”:

The fighting stops at the line of contact and there is no mention of returning the almost 20% of Ukrainian territory occupied by Russia;

The Kremlin receives guarantees that Ukraine will never become a member of NATO;

The restoration of the destroyed Ukrainian infrastructure is entirely the responsibility of the European Union.

“It will probably look like the current demarcation line. It becomes like a demilitarized zone so that the Russians don't invade again,” can be heard in the podcast video.

It is important to note that in July, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to Trump's proposals regarding a way to end the war. He explained that it was a “bad idea”, and that the American politician would not be able to force Putin to stop. According to the Ukrainian head of state, the Kremlin “feeds” the Russians with territorial “achievements”, and therefore cannot stop the war because it will lose power.
