Lukashenka Harmed Belarusian People And Kachanava Has To Fix It

The dictator cut the social package.

Chairman of the "Council of the Republic" Natallia Kachanava during the civil visit on September 12 in Iuye complained about a change in social services, which will be earned from October 1. Thus, by this date, according to the decree of Aliaksandr Lukashenka, private boarding houses that provide social services with accommodation for the elderly and disabled must undergo licensing. But in practice, there was a collision, which Natallia Kachanava complained about, writes «Зеркало».

Briefly about what happened

Since July 1, in Belarus, the social package, which the state previously guaranteed to the population, has been cut by decree of Aliaksandr Lukashenka. For example, it has become more difficult to get into boarding schools, and social services from private individuals who provide social services with accommodation for the elderly and disabled have been licensed. Private owners must obtain a license from the local authorities by October 1 of this year. Earlier, such licensing was introduced for schools, which is why many private ones were closed.

There are at least 15 private nursing homes in Belarus. Only one of the chains has boarding houses in ten cities of Belarus.

The Ministry of Labor previously promoted the creation of a special register of those who provide social services, but this idea was eventually abandoned.

What was Kachanava asked for?

Nadzeia, a Minsk resident, came to Iuye with a proposal to legislatively regulate the provisions related to the activities of private boarding houses. The woman who organized such a boarding house for the elderly in the Minsk district drew Natallia Kachanava's attention to the fact that from October 1 of this year, a decree on licensing private boarding houses, which did not provide for a transitional period, comes into force.

"From October 1, all private organizations must undergo licensing. This cannot be done due to the requirements of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Our facilities are residential buildings, and the requirements set by the Ministry of Emergency Situations are suitable only for administrative buildings," Nadzeia said.

Natallia Kachanava noted that the issue of organizing the activities of such institutions is relevant.

"In the near future, we will go and see how our social protection bodies work. The Ministry of Labor together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs should conduct an inventory of such institutions," Kachanava said.

We will remind, earlier Natallia Kachanava has already complained about the decree of Aliaksadr Lukashenka, which cut social packages, which had previously been guaranteed by the state to the population.
