Defense Express: AFU Destroy 60-70 Storages With 30 Thousand Ammunition In Tver Region

It was a large and important arsenal for the Russian Federation.

A significant amount of ammunition was stored at the warehouses of the Russian Main Missile and Artillery Directorate in Tver region, which was attacked by Ukraine this night.

Sergiy Zgurets, director of the Defense Express information and consulting company, said on air on the Espresso TV channel that this attack is a continuation of the AFU's actions aimed at destroying the occupation army's stockpiles.

‘This is the settlement of Toropets, where the warehouses of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Federation are located. This is quite a large facility. If you look at the satellite images, at least 60-70 depots were in rows behind a fence and were quite well-maintained. That is an important arsenal, where, according to various estimates, up to 30,000 different munitions were stored,’ the expert said.

He added that all the warehouses had detonated, as the FARMS satellite images show a significant number of flashes over the entire area of the arsenal. According to Zgurets, tentatively, 122 mm calibre ammunition for the Grad system, a significant number of 82 mm calibre mines and small arms ammunition were stored there.

‘Hopefully, there were also stocks of missiles for anti-aircraft missile systems of various types. Experts draw such conclusions based on the kind of detonations that sometimes resemble fireworks. This is indeed a powerful blow to Russian stockpiles. The distance from the territory of Ukraine is about 500-600 kilometres. The strikes were carried out using our drones. These are systemic measures that have an impact on limiting the enemy's capabilities,’ the Director of Defence Express summarised.
