Despite the risks of NATO involvement in the war.
Ukraine's neighboring countries have "committed" to destroying Russian drones and missiles before they invade their airspace.
Polish Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said this in an interview for the Financial Times. He stressed that Poland must protect its citizens, despite the risks that intercepting missiles over Ukraine could involve NATO in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
"NATO membership does not cancel the responsibility of each country to protect its own airspace – this is our own constitutional duty. I personally believe that when enemy missiles are heading towards our airspace, it would be legitimate self-defence (to shoot them down), because once they cross our airspace, the risk of someone being injured by debris is significant," the minister added.
