Screaming And Running: First Footage Of Toropets Explosions Appears

The video was filmed at the moment of the crushing blow.

Residents of the city of Toropets in the Tver region of the Russian Federation reacted sharply to the explosions that began on September 18 at the warehouses of the 107th arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate. In the footage filmed in the first minutes after the incident, loud shouts are heard and a rapid escape is visible. The details of the emergency, which occurred 500 km from Ukraine, were reported in the Telegram channel Astra.

The authors of the channel published a video on the evening of September 20, received from a resident of Toropets, whose name is not indicated. The person who sent the footage assures that these were the first moments after possible strikes on the arsenal of the Russian Armed Forces. We see a column of fire rising in the distance, and in the foreground are Russians running away from danger. You can hear them urging each other on, shouting loudly and running faster and faster.

The article also described the impressions of Russian citizens after it became safe, the explosions died down and they returned home. They claim that windows were blown out, furniture and household appliances were broken. Already on September 19, a day after the incident, shops opened in the village and Russians tried to return to a quiet life. According to official information from the Russian authorities, 13 people were injured, allegedly no one was killed. The fate of the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces who lived close to the warehouses in military unit 54169 is also unclear: it is officially believed that they were evacuated and no one was hurt.
