Mysterious Fire At GRU Training Ground Near Tambov

The fire is approaching Russian villages.

A large-scale fire near the Russian city of Tambov on the territory of the military training ground of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) continues to this day.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations refused to comment on the incident, citing the fact that it is happening at a restricted facility.

The military and local authorities are also keeping silent.

Information about the fire at the training ground appeared on Friday, September 27. It was not possible to extinguish it overnight.

Residents of Tambov and nearby settlements observed a huge glow at the scene.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations claims that there is no threat to settlements. However, this turned out to be a lie.

According to the influential Telegram channel “VChK-OGPU”, which is associated with Russian special services, the village of Trigulyay near the training ground was trapped in a fire.

“The fire grew all night near Tambov on the territory of the military training ground in Trigulyay. According to eyewitnesses, the fire approached the camp and “surrounded” the village. The cause of the fire is unknown,” the resource wrote.

Local media reported that a forest fire caused by drought allegedly spread to a military facility.

It is known that the military training ground near Trigulyay is used as a training base for the 16th separate guards special forces brigade of the GRU.

This facility is used for training and preparation of special forces units, including military exercises and personnel training. The training ground is also associated with mercenary structures such as the Redut PMC.
