NATO Assesses Threat Of Russian Attack

90% of Russian ground forces are already fighting in Ukraine.

Currently, the Russians are not preparing an attack on NATO — 90% of Russian ground forces are already involved in Ukraine, said the head of the Alliance Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

“I am convinced that theoretically they can attack [the Alliance], because they attacked Ukraine. But apart from rhetoric, we do not see any preparations or intentions to actually move towards NATO,” he said.

According to Bauer, 90% of Russian ground forces are involved in Ukraine — which means that their use against NATO is unlikely, and the Alliance would see corresponding actions from the Russian Federation.

At the same time, he admitted that Russia can attack the Alliance by other means, but NATO also does not see any preparatory measures from the Russian Federation in this regard.
