Partisans Blow Up Railway Bridge In Russia's Samara Region, Causing Collapse

Train traffic is restricted.

An explosion occurred on a railway bridge near the city of Kinel in the Samara Region, the regional government reported on its Telegram channel. As a result of the incident, “safety islands” were damaged at the crossing, and no information about casualties was received.

“Train movement has been temporarily suspended. The railway tracks are not damaged. Security personnel are working on the scene,” the authorities said in a statement.

The Kuibyshev Railway clarified that “due to illegal interference by outsiders in the operation of railway transport,” the movement of freight trains on the 94-103 km section was suspended.
