Are they running out of soldiers?

Two years and one hundred and ninety-one days of war have passed. Today's ISW maps show that the Russian offensive in the Pokrovsky direction continues. A small advance was recorded at Selidovo today. Otherwise, the situation at the front is not much different from yesterday.

Unlike ISW, German Bild is not so optimistic. Here is what its military analyst Julian Röpcke writes: “The situation in the east is critical. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are already morally preparing for the defence of Dnipro."

I would like to believe that the ISW assess the situation more coolly and realistically, since they reflect it on the basis of verified data of objective control, and not on the basis of rumors and leaks from their insiders.

The Russians again shelled Ukrainian cities. But the scale of the attack was not the same as before. By this morning, they had fired 16 (9 shot down) Iskander ballistic missiles, 14 (13 shot down) X-101 cruise missiles and 23 (20 shot down) Shahed UAVs. In addition, 4 S300/400 guided anti-aircraft missiles were launched from the Belgorod region in Kharkiv, and another missile, the type of which could not be established.

But these are all interim results, as the shelling continued all day. They beat Kharkiv, Sumy, Kyiv and other cities. There are casualties, destruction, sensitive hits, including industrial facilities. The Ukrainian authorities, for obvious reasons, do not apply to this topic, but it is obvious that the industrial facilities mean, first of all, the facilities of the defence industry.

Today, Putin again performed his crown number called "While we always said!". This time it was peace talks with Ukraine. He stated that "Russia has never refused to hold peace talks, but the Russian army needs to deal with the 'bandits' in the Kursk region."

I want to really scream: well, they did not refuse, when immediately after the beginning of the Kursk operation they clearly stated that there could be no more talks.

For example, on August 12, Putin said: "Apparently, the enemy is striving to improve its negotiating positions in the future. But what kind of negotiations can we talk about with people who indiscriminately attack civilians, civilian infrastructure, or try to create threats to nuclear power facilities. What can you talk to them about?”

On August 19, Putin's assistant Ushakov said that "negotiations with Kyiv are impossible because of the 'provocation' in the Kursk region." And on August 25, Lavrov said in an interview: "... Putin clearly said that after the attempts to invade the territory of the Kursk region, there can be no any negotiations with Kyiv."

If I can read Russian, then here it is written in black and white that firstly, the invasion of the Kursk region was carried out by the Ukrainian army on the direct orders of Zelensky. After all, 'there can be no question of negotiations' with those who 'indiscriminately strike at peaceful people', etc." Since the negotiations were supposed to be with the current Ukrainian authorities, this clearly indicates that Putin considers them the authors of the invasion of the Kursk region. Therefore, negotiations with them (and with whom else?) are impossible.

And in all three statements, this logic can be traced: by their actions in the Kursk region, the Kiev authorities removed the issue of negotiations from the agenda. We (Russia) will not negotiate with them anymore.

Note: nowhere, in any of these passages, the question of the "culprit" of the invasion was not questioned: this was done by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the instructions of the "Kyiv junta". And since "minced meat cannot be turned back", negotiations with these people are now impossible in general. What is done cannot be undone.

But now there is a complete change of position: it turns out that some incomprehensible "bandits" have invaded the Kursk region. We (Russia) have never refused to negotiate (what's it like?!), just now we will solve the problem with these "bandits" and again we will be ready to sit down at the negotiating table!

What are you talking about? Who is the negotiating side? Oh, come on, with Zelensky! He also "indiscriminately struck at peaceful people"! Hmm... no, it's not him, they are some "bandits".

We do not negotiate with the "bandits", it's true. And with Zelensky (and with whom else?) — easily. “We never refused to negotiate!”

Spit in Putin's eyes — all the dew of God. I always think: how does Putin differ from ordinary people, because it is impossible not to recognize that he is a completely unique person. And after much reflection, I came to the conclusion that his main advantage is that he is completely devoid of shame. You have to sit and think about it. Lack of shame is a colossal force. We just underestimate it.

Something doesn't work in his mind. If everything went on as it looks now, then why start this old idea about negotiations again? Step further, on Dnipro, on Kyiv, put Medvedchuk (or Yanukovych) and do not need any negotiations! But, no… “we never refused to negotiate…” Oh, to know what his reserves... I can feel he's in trouble. Soldiers are running out...
