Hardware With ‘B’ Mark

Hardware With ‘B’ Mark

On what is happening at the Belarusian-Ukrainian border.

Last week, reports about the accumulation of Belarusian army units on the border with Ukraine began to appear on a regular basis. Moreover, allegedly, the vehicles of these units were labelled with a ‘B’ letter. Either Latin, from the word Belarus, or Cyrillic, from the word ‘Vitya’ («Bитя» in Russian), or even the PMC Wagner («Bагнер» in Russian).

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry added oil to the fire, issuing a warning to the official Minsk on preventing provocations and acts of aggression, although, in fact, it was just the usual, routine work of the ministry. Some country, which is not particularly friendly to Ukraine, has deployed additional units to the border - the ministry must react. Only the alarmists took it a weird way, but not the way it should have been taken.

On September 2, the Belaruski Hayun telegram channel noted that the photos of the vehicles with ‘B’ have nothing to do with the grouping of the Armed Forces of Belarus in the Ukrainian border area. The vast majority of hardware belongs to the 6th Mechanised Brigade (m/u 05733, Hrodna). In August, tactical exercises were held at the Hozhzki firing range and areas in Hrodna region by the brigade.

That's sort of all...

But still, what is the current situation along the border between Ukraine and Belarus?

I will start with the most important thing - there are no signs of creating a strike group on the territory of Belarus.

Along the entire length of the border between Ukraine and Belarus, which is 1,084 kilometres, if anyone has forgotten, there are about 3 thousand people deployed on the side, consisting of 5 battalions and 3 units up to a company.

The concentration of forces in the border zone on the side of Belarus is as follows:

- 383rd assault airborne brigade, 38th separate assault airborne brigade near the vicinity of the village of Uzhova and the town of Pinsk. Brest region.

- 5th Separate Brigade of Special Purpose - Ivanava, Brest region and Prybalovichy, Homel region.

- 317th Parachute Airborne Regiment, 103rd Independent Airborne Brigade - villages of Lelchytsy, Brahin and Ziabrauka-2, Homel region, Gomel obl;

- 336th Reactive Artillery Brigade (Ziabrauka);

- 51st Artillery Brigade - city of Homel.

Also, there are units of the 33rd SpP, 339th SMB of the 120th SMBr, 355th STB of the 120th SMBr, 357th AB of the 336th Reactive Artillery Brigade in the close border zone.

The observed hardware assigned to these units in this zone is as follows:

- Tanks - about 30 units;

- ACVs - 135 units;

- AV (ambulance vehicle) - about 60 units;

- MLRS - about 10 units.

At that, exercises have been completed at a number of ranges, which will somewhat defuse the overall situation. We are talking about the completed exercises of the 381st AAB at the Brestski range (Brest region), of the 38th SABr (BREST) of the SOF, as well as of the 317th Parachute Airborne Regiment of the 103rd SAABr at Lasvida (Vitsebsk region).

Well, in fact, here is the composition of the campaign to Kyiv 2.0. Are you listening to yourselves?
