Flow Of Russian Tourists To Belarus Increases Twofold

The flow of Russian tourists to Belarus has doubled in 2024, reported the press service of the Republican Union of Travel Industry of Belarus.

The organisation notes that Belarus is turning into one of the most popular tourist destinations for Russian citizens.

‘Tour operators record a two-fold increase in tourist flow compared to last year,’ reads the message.

It is reported that there is a demand for autumn tours. Director of the ‘Alean’ company Aksana Bulakh noted that the cumulative demand for this destination has increased by a third over the past eight months. She added that sanatoriums and excursion programmes are particularly popular. Thus, during the summer the number of bookings in sanatoriums has increased by 31%, and this figure continues to grow.

According to Larysa Piatrouskaya, director of the ‘Ilva’ company, expensive tours with accommodation in hotels with no less than four stars are becoming popular among Russians in 2024. The Republican Union of Travel Industry noted that tours for the New Year period are rapidly being bought up, and some hotels are already full for the New Year dates.
