Russian airports in Siberia and the Far East have begun purchasing protection against drones.
According to the Russian Telegram channel BAZA, on August 9, the Krasnoyarsk airport Yemelyanovo announced a tender for the purchase of equipment for detecting and suppressing UAVs: two detectors (type “Bulat”) and two anti-drone guns (type “Ayrat”).
The Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk airport announced a tender on August 12 — they want to install an expensive hardware and software system for detecting and countering UAVs, which includes a radar-optical system, a circular viewing station, an integrated surveillance system and other anti-drone things.
On August 24, a drone attacked the Belgorod airport — the UAV flew into the command and control center building and exploded, as a result of which the casing was damaged and windows were broken.
