Verkhovna Rada Of Ukraine Dismisses Four Ministers

Meanwhile, two resignations were failed.

On Wednesday, September 3, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed a number of ministers of the Ukrainian government, while several high-profile resignations did not receive votes, writes New Voice.

In particular, the following officials were dismissed today:

Oleksandr Kamyshin was dismissed from the post of Minister for Strategic Industries. Suspilne’s source in the Servant of the People reported that Kamyshin is planned to be transferred to work in the Presidential Office, probably as a strategic adviser. Ukrayinska Pravda reported that Kamyshin could replace Rostyslav Shurma as Deputy Chairman of the OP.

Olha Stefanyshina was dismissed from the post of Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration. Earlier, People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak suggested that the Ministry of Justice would be merged with the office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, and Stefanyshina could head this united department. The Public has similar information.

Ruslan Strelets was dismissed from the post of Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources.

Denys Maliuska was dismissed from the post of Minister of Justice. The Ministry of Justice is expected to be merged with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration.

Due to a lack of votes, on September 3, the Rada failed to dismiss:

Vitaliy Koval from the post of Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine (225 votes instead of 226);

Iryna Vereshchuk from the post of Deputy Prime Minister — Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine (214 votes instead of 226).

In addition, the Verkhovna Rada has not yet considered the resignation of Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, which he has also already submitted. Therefore, for now, he remains the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. “Something went wrong with Kuleba. They stopped the consideration and announced a break. “The ‘servants’ who understood that it [the resignation] would fail spoke out against it,” MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported from the plenary hall.
