Drone Attack: Explosions At Ammunition Depot Near Voronezh

Several villages have begun to be evacuated.

A drone attack near Russian Voronezh has caused a fire at an ammunition depot. Authorities have announced the evacuation of several villages, Radio Svoboda reports.

The drone was “detected and suppressed” in the Ostrogozhsky District early in the morning, Voronezh Region Governor Alexander Gusev said. According to him, the drone's fall "caused a fire that spread to explosive objects, so a detonation began”. There were no casualties.

Initially, Gusev reported the evacuation of residents of one village “to a neighboring settlement”. Half an hour later, the governor wrote that several villages would be evacuated. He did not specify which ones.

Monitoring Telegram channels write that the drone hit an ammunition depot and publish videos in which explosions are clearly audible. Local residents reported that the detonation continued for several hours.
