Scholz's Party Accuses Musk of 'Serious Crossing The Line'
Elon Musk

And warned of worsening relations between Germany and the United States.

The leader of the parliamentary faction of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) in the Bundestag, Rolf Mützenich, accused American businessman Elon Musk of "crossing the line between friendly states", noting that the billionaire's latest statements towards German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier could lead to a serious worsening of relations.

Der Spiegel reported.

It is noted that Mützenich made his remark after Musk began verbally attacking leading German politicians.

"Steinmeier represented Germany within the framework of international law, so the verbal attacks on the federal president are directed against all citizens," Mützenich said.

Mützenich called on the German government after Trump's inauguration to clarify "whether the repeated disrespect, slander and interference in the election campaign were also expressed on behalf of the new US administration."

He noted that "international challenges can only be resolved in an unencumbered relationship between us and the US."

Mützenich also criticized FDP leader Christian Lindner, who recently came out with the slogan "Bolder, Musk."

"Why Mr. Lindner is constantly trying to get closer to Elon Musk and praises his policies, I do not understand ... The FDP must quickly stop fawning over a dubious entrepreneur and political adviser," he emphasized.

On New Year's Eve, Musk wrote on his X platform that Steinmeier is an "anti-democratic tyrant" and said that "he should be ashamed."

He has already commented on German politics several times in recent weeks. In particular, after the collapse of the ruling coalition in November, he insulted Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, calling him a “fool,” and after the terrorist attack at the Magdeburg Christmas market, he wrote that “Scholz is an incompetent fool” and called on him to resign.

In addition, a few days ago, Musk gave an interview to the Welt am Sonntag newspaper, in which he campaigned for the pro-Russian Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.
