Decisive Battle: AFU Report About Situation In Toretsk

Decisive Battle: AFU Report About Situation In Toretsk

The enemy is trying to get to the key mines.

The situation in the Orel direction near Toretsk is stable. This is reported by AFU serviceman Yevgeny Ievlev on air of Channel 24.

‘The defence line has not been moving in this direction for more than 2 months. I think this is due to that the enemy can not cope with so many offensives. There are four priority offensive directions for them - these are Kurakhove, Pokrov, Chasiv Yar and Toretsk ones. We had to entrench ourselves in more or less prepared positions, where we manage to hold the enemy,’ Ievlev said.

However, he noted that the enemy is regularly shelling the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces in this direction. And also trying to storm from time to time, using small infantry groups. At the same time, according to the military man, the situation near Toretsk itself is more complicated.

‘To our great regret, almost the entire western part of the town is under enemy control there. And the enemy is advancing towards one of the key mines, the battle for which will be decisive in the fate of the northern part of Toretsk. But our Cossacks are fighting there, the enemy is getting a very good repulse there,’ Ievlev noted.
