Israeli Army Destroys Underground Hamas Weapons Production Facility

Soldiers discovered underground tunnels with blast-proof doors.

Soldiers from the Israeli Yahalom unit and the 99th Division destroyed a Hamas weapons production facility in the central Gaza Strip. In addition, the Israeli military killed a group of terrorists in southern Gaza.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported.

Soldiers from the unit, acting on precise intelligence, discovered and destroyed an underground tunnel route. It housed a Hamas weapons production facility during operations in the central Gaza Strip.

The facility housed military equipment, several lathes, and machining and cutting machines used, among other things, to produce weapons.

The troops discovered underground tunnels with blast-proof doors and utility rooms that were used by Hamas terrorists.

"The division's engineering forces, the 551st Brigade and the Yahalom unit removed the finds, mapped the area and destroyed the facility. The destruction of the production facility deals another blow to Hamas's attempts to restore its capabilities," the statement reads.
