Sudden Offensive In Kursk Region: Ukrainian Forces Advance Northeast Of Sudzha

Tanks and armored vehicles have advanced.

The Ukrainian army could have launched an offensive northeast of Sudzha in the Kursk region of Russia, in the direction of the village of Bolshoye Soldatskoye.

This was reported by Russian volunteer, former adviser to the governor of Kursk region Roman Alekhine, writes Focus.

"Judging by the situation in the Sudzha area, the enemy offensive we talked about earlier has begun. It began from Sudzha towards Bolshoye Soldatskoye, although we considered this direction to be the most difficult for the enemy," he noted.

According to Alekhine, mine-clearing trawls, tanks, and other armoured vehicles are involved in the offensive. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have covered the attack area with electronic warfare systems, so many Russian drones were useless.

Other Russian military publics write about the accumulation of Ukrainian infantry in the Kursk direction and an offensive near the village of Berdin along the 38K-004 highway. Russian positions in the village of Pushkarnoye on the Konopelka River were also attacked. It is not yet known how large-scale the attack was and what forces were involved.

Ukrainian military officials have not yet confirmed the information about the beginning of a new offensive.

More than a week ago, Z-channels wrote about the preparation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for a new major offensive in early January in the Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk regions. The attack was prepared due to the cold weather and freezing of the ground for better movement of equipment. Now in Sudzha there is frost up to minus 5 and no precipitation. Judging by the weather forecast, warming and rain are expected in the region from January 7.
