She herself doubted its value.

A German citizen, who arrived in Minsk on a flight from Istanbul, tried to import 15 gold bars and a coin into Belarus without declaring them at customs. The woman herself, according to her, doubted the authenticity of gold, reported in the Customs Committee.

At Minsk airport, the traveler chose the "green corridor," designed for passengers without goods subject to mandatory declaration. However, customs officers suspected something wrong and directed the woman to the "red corridor" for a more thorough inspection. Valuables were indeed found in her luggage.

"The citizen said that she purchased valuables at markets in various countries and is not sure that they are really gold," the committee added.

Expert examination confirmed that these are real gold items: 15 bars of 999.9 grade with a total weight of more than 117 grams and a gold coin weighing more than 30 grams. Their total value exceeds 78 thousand rubles.

An administrative process under part 4 of article 15.5 of the Administrative Code was initiated against the woman. The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to 30% of the value of confiscated property.
