And urged not to worry about China.

US President Donald Trump in his Truth Social urged not to worry about China.

"Don't worry about China, everything will be fine. Dear Chinese President Si Jinping has just gone through a difficult moment. He doesn't want a depression for his country, and neither do I," Trump wrote.

The White House chief said that "the US wants to help China, not hurt it."

Trump's post comes amid another escalating tariff standoff between the US and China. Trump said he would be forced as US president to "financially confront" Beijing. On the same day, Trump said the US would impose 100 percent duties on goods from China starting November 1.
