Lukashenko Made A Number Of Personnel Reshuffles

New heads of major enterprises have been appointed.
October 13, Lukashenko made a number of personnel reshuffles. In particular, new heads of Belshina, Gomselmash and Mogilevkhimvolokna were appointed.
Alexandr Komendant became the first deputy chairman of Minsk City Executive Committee, previously he headed the Committee of Economy of Hrodna Regional Executive Committee.
Alexandr Novikov is the new chairman of Gomel district executive committee, before that he headed "Gomselmash".
Vladimir Antonenko became head of Zhitkovichi district executive committee, and his place in Narovlya district executive committee was taken by Denis Yadchenko, former deputy chairman of construction and housing and communal services. Nikolai Klimenok became chairman of the Loyevsky district executive committee, Yury Kostolomov - Zelvensky. Andrei Gordey was appointed chairman of Smorgon district executive committee, and Alexandr Kurilo - of Korelichi district executive committee. All the new leaders previously held similar or specialized positions in other districts and structures.
Andrei Soiko became general director of "Belshina" (previously deputy general director for social issues at "Belaruskali").
Oleg Kurilin became head of Mogilevkhimvolokno, where he was previously deputy general director for commerce.
Vitaly Sheleg replaced Alexander Novikov as general director of Gomselmash (previously headed the Minsk plant of gears).
Lukashenko also agreed on appointments at the Ministry of Taxes, Ministry of Natural Resources, Ministry of Industry and Ministry of Transport. Vladimir Mukvich became first deputy minister for taxes and duties, Olga Starovoitova became deputy minister of the same ministry. Alexei Stasiukevich was appointed deputy minister of natural resources and environmental protection, Leonid Ryzhkovsky - deputy minister of industry, and Sergei Matsukov - deputy minister of transport and communications.
Denis Duk became rector of the Academy of Management under Lukashenko. Previously, he headed the Kuleshov Mogilev State University. Sergei Shcherbakov was appointed deputy chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Previously, he was academician-secretary of the Department of Physical and Technical Sciences of the NAS.
In addition, Lukashenko approved new appointments in the diplomatic corps: Dmitry Derevinsky became Ambassador of Belarus to Colombia, Panama and Ecuador (part-time) and remains Ambassador to Venezuela. Dmitry Krasovsky has been appointed ambassador to Uganda and retains his post as head of mission in Kenya and representative to the African Union and several UN programs. Alexandr Sidoruk became consul general of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
