Zelensky Responded To Whether There Will Still Be Talks On Tomahawks

The topic hasn't been canceled.

No one has canceled the topic of providing Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. US President Donald Trump should understand that Ukraine also needs these weapons - no less than the US.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of President Vladimir Zelensky at the briefing after the meeting in the White House.

"Trump should understand that we also need Tomahawks. No one has canceled this topic for negotiations. We should work on it," the Ukrainian president said.

At the same time, Zelensky refused to share details. He suggested that the press ask the American side about the details.

"I can't share the details, you can ask these questions to the American side," the Ukrainian leader explained.

Obviously, a little earlier Zelensky said that he discussed with Trump the issue of transferring long-range weapons, including Tomahawk missiles. But the United States, they say, does not want escalation - so there is an agreement not to touch this topic publicly for now.

The day before, Trump made a controversial statement about the Tomahawks after a conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. According to him, the United States has many of these missiles, but they are supposedly needed by the US itself.
